One trend I noticed on the runways was the unfinished look. It was seen on Prada, Jill Sander and Fendi's catwalks and I must say I really like it. I love contrasts, like the mix of the perfectly tailored clothes with the unfinished seams with threads hanging everywhere. Almost looks like the jacket was turned inside out and they didn't bother doing the finishing work of cutting off the threads and doing the overlocking and it looks so cool with the seams sort of sticking out as they would on the inside of the jacket. This makes me want to cut up all the hems of my shirts and jackets and cut up all the overlocking so everything looks so perfectly un-perfect.

It is a bit strange thinking of spring in the midst of winter but the fashion industry is so my thoughts have turned to shorts and bare legs and light denim. I love the denim with denim look of the twenty8twelve show and even though I can hear the wind outside and that it gets dark at 4.30 pm one have to look ahead and dream of when the flowers turn up on the trees down at Hanover Square and that first spring day. But for the moment I am sticking to big fluffy knits, warm leggings and large snoods and I am staying inside.

It has been raining in traditional English style all afternoon and night and I am cuddled up in bed with a cup of tea and being angry at my hair that chose to not do what I wanted it to. Here are some outfit inspirations to keep you warm this november night.
